The Clinical COPD Questionnaire (CCQ) is a short health status
questionnaire for patients with COPD. The main purpose of this
questionnaire is the measurement of health status of patients with
breathing difficulties due to their illness. By measuring health
status, the general practitioner, the specialist, and the patient get
better information on the severity of symptoms and limitations caused
by the disease. The effect of treatment on symptoms and limitations can
be measured as well.
The main purpose of this questionnaire is measurement of disease
related health status of the patient. The questionnaire does not intent
to diagnose COPD. For diagnosing COPD a visit to the GP or specialist
is necessary. Measurement of lung function is also required.
